Sales Manager USA

For this senior position, we are looking for a strong commercial professional with a successful international track record (minimum of ten years’ experience) and relevant/up-to-date network in the food service/distribution channel in the USA. Ideally has experience in agricultural (seasonal) products. Understands the dynamics of an international organization and clients, HQ and distributors, and is used to act at senior level. Passionate about what (s)he does. Team player, yet autonomous; used to work in a matrix organizations and has the influencing skills to realize (commercial) objectives by leading a team of two sales people (to be hired on the short-mid term). Organizational sensitivity. Leads by example. Thrives ina no-nonsense, down-to-earth environment. Numerically literate. Knows to make the right decisions at the right time, entrepreneurial spirit, strong commercial instincts, strong negotiating skills, hungry to expand the business strategically and attract new business. Capable of building long-term business relationships and take them to the next level. Change the push strategy into pull by branded food service sales. Challenge that cannot be refused by a commercial entrepreneur in the food service channel, who is eager to play a leading role in a growing organization, to a large extent based on his own views. Candidates have so far had a progressive career and now probably hold a senior level manager position in a food producing company. Connector. International Outlook. What do you need?

  • Intellectual ability and work experience at higher education level;
  • Knowledge of sales in the key accounts and channel ( Casual dining sector): relationship management, sales strategy;
  • Knowledge of market position, production, competitive conditions; 
  • Knowledge of Marketing, PR trends, negotiation techniques, and sales techniques;
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations in the area of sales: financial and legal implications;
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
